Jesus Christ is willing to die for you, he is willing to become an enemy for you. How can it be dangerous to give control of your life to someone like that. It can't be. Wake up from the sleep of denial with the thought of his love.

Tim Keller - The parable of the messenger sermon. Last 2 minutes.
Our pleasure and our duty,
though opposite before;

Death is hell and night and cold, if it isn't transformed by our faith. But that's just what is so marvelous, that we can transform death - Dietrich Bonhoeffer

But now that he is preparing a place for his people, he has gone to Heaven on purpose to do it. He used to stand still here on Earth and work miracles. But this was a miracle that he could not perform while he was here. He had to go back to his home above in order to prepare a place for his people. What sort of place, then, must it be that needs Christ himself to prepare it?

He might have said, "Angels, prepare a mansion for my beloved." But no, he leaves not the work to them.

Bothers and sister, he will do it well, for he knows all about us. He knows what will give us the most happiness - and what will best develop all our spiritual faculties forever. He loves us so well that, as the preparing is left to him, I know he will prepare us nothing second rate, nothing that could possibly be excelled.

Spurgeon - from his sermon, "A prepared place for a prepared people"

There is an entire worldview implicit in some worry. It cries out about an ultimate aloneness. There is no one who can really help. No one can rescue. No one is really looking out for you. You are an orphan in a chaotic universe that operates according to chance. Who wouldn't be worried given such a view of reality?

It is likely that our worry reflects some self-centeredness. Worry puts the focus on me. Take a hard look at yourself instead of your circumstances when worry is blaring. Ask yourself what you are trusting in
